THE HEAT IS NOT ON! Be prepared on Sunday by dressing appropriately. We are experiencing a temporary problem with heat in our Sanctuary, but the weather forecast isn't predicting blizzard conditions, so we hope to see you there, praising the Lord and supporting the SOUPER BOWL OF CARING in your Sunday best woolies and fuzzies! Remember, Aldersgate's own Carly Darden is on the national board for this organization, and we want to support her efforts by doing our best for our own Food Share ministry!
Souper Bowl of Caring: It’s fourth and long! Do we go for it or not? Well, of course we do, it’s the SOUPER BOWL. It’s now or never... OK, maybe we’re not really trying to make a first down at a critical point in the game. But then again, maybe we are. People fortunate enough to attend the game in Miami this weekend aren't worried about having enough to eat. But what about those in our community who are wondering if there's enough food for the coming week? It’s doubtful that they're concerned about the final outcome of a football game. They most likely are truly concerned about having some fresh fruits, vegetables and meat for the week or two ahead.
Well, that’s where YOU come in. You can be the one that comes off the bench to win the game. By giving generously of your cash or non-perishable food donations this coming Sunday, you can become the MVP of the Souper Bowl of Caring. Please contribute to our Food Share ministry this Sunday, and know that the Lord will bless you in your giving!
